A Note from Calli:

Thanks for reaching the page. I'm excited to not only be your coach, but your friend and mentor. I've been in the fitness game for quite some time and I can honestly say that if you stay consistent, put in the effort and show up with your 100% day to day, you WILL be successful at HTA.

If you're nervous to start or considering it, my biggest advice is: JUST START. You won't regret it. See you at the bar. :)

Coach Ali Macy

CFL2, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Mobility, CrossFit Anatomy, Masters in Nutrition and Human Performance, Working Against Gravity Nutrition Coach, PN-L1, NCI Hormone Specialist Level 1 Certification

Ali found CrossFit at a pivotal point in her life. Struggling to find herself during college, a friend dragged her into a CrossFit box and her whole outlook on life changed. “I found a brand-new world of people who focused more on what their bodies could do than what they looked like,” says Ali. “They were training because they had fun and enjoyed pushing their limits. They were fueling because they wanted to not only perform at their best, but also feel their best for whatever passions they chase.”

A CrossFit and Nutrition coach since 2014, Ali loves helping her athletes realize their strength both in and outside of the gym. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, photography, and being outside with her Husband, Sam, son, Henry, and their very energetic German Shorthaired Pointers, Blue and Lucy.

Coach Emily Taylor

CF-L1 • Working Against Gravity Certified Nutrition Coach • Precision Nutrition L1
CrossFit Gymnastics • CrossFit Anatomy • CrossFit Mobility
M.S. in Education & M.S. in Mathematics

From the soccer field to the swimming pool, Emily has been an athlete her entire life—chasing excellence across nearly every sport imaginable. With a competitive background in soccer, hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics, track, and swimming, Emily truly embodies what it means to be a lifelong mover. She played Division II collegiate lacrosse and rugby at Franklin Pierce University, where her love for teamwork and high performance continued to thrive.

After college, Emily discovered CrossFit and instantly felt like she had found her people. The community, the challenge, and the team-like camaraderie lit a new fire—and she’s been all-in ever since. With over 12 years of CrossFit coaching experience and certifications that span from mobility to nutrition, Emily brings deep knowledge, a sharp coaching eye, and genuine passion to every class she leads.

Outside the gym, Emily is a seasoned marathon runner with more than 12 marathons under her belt, including the iconic New York City and Boston Marathons.

But perhaps her most inspiring chapter began in 2021.

At just five months postpartum, Emily was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The next three years would test her in ways she never imagined—undergoing multiple treatments and surgeries while raising her infant son and continuing to lead with strength and grace. In 2024, Emily made her triumphant return to the gym floor—not just as a coach, but as a survivor, a fighter, and a symbol of resilience.

Today, she lives in St. Albans, Vermont with her husband Kyle, their son Calvin, and their chocolate lab, Sydney. Whether she's in the gym, the classroom (where she teaches 2nd grade), taking a nap, or on a long run, Emily shows up with heart, grit, and an unshakable belief in the power of the human spirit.

Coach Kevin Burke

Kevin started his fitness & coaching journey bouncing between Mountaineering and Taekwondo, as both a Taekwondo instructor and a CWI/SPI instructor. Primarily focusing on explosive combat and long range endurance to support the technical requirements of single pitch climbs and six minute sparring matches.

After joining the Army in 2018 as an Engineer, his focus shifted to a functional fitness in preparation to deploy. Without really understanding what constantly varied functional movements, executed at high intensity meant, his Crossfit journey had begun.

In 2021 while deployed to the Horn of Africa, Kevin found his first Crossfit gym at Crossfit 11th Parallel, and the rest was history.

Kevin is a Captain in the Vermont National Guard and has his CF-L1.
